At Imara Construction, we’re a family-owned remodeling and construction company serving Maryland’s residential and commercial communities. Our work is rooted in craftsmanship, clear communication, and a belief that the spaces people live and work in should feel calm, welcoming, and well cared for.

We offer a range of services, including flooring installation, professional painting, kitchen and bathroom remodels, room additions, basement finishing, and whole-house renovations. From the first consultation to the final walkthrough, we guide the process so clients don’t have to juggle multiple subcontractors or guess what comes next.

Remodeling can be disruptive — sometimes even requiring families or businesses to temporarily relocate during projects. Because of that, we focus on clear timelines, transparent communication, and thoughtful project coordination so the process feels organized and manageable rather than overwhelming.

As a licensed and insured company with nearly a decade of hands-on experience, we proudly serve homeowners as well as commercial spaces such as offices, schools, and places of worship throughout DMV.

Many renovation projects require multiple trades working together. Rather than asking clients to coordinate separate contractors, we manage the process for you.

Depending on the scope of the project, we coordinate trusted subcontractors including:

Imara Construction was founded by husband-and-wife team Erik and Gigi, combining years of hands-on construction experience with a shared commitment to thoughtful service and strong community roots.

After spending nearly a decade working in flooring, painting, and renovation projects across Central Maryland, E built a reputation for quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and reliability on job sites. Over the years, the vision for creating a company of their own began to grow — one built not only on skill, but on values.

Together, Erik and Gigi launched Imara Construction as a family-owned, community-focused company grounded in transparency, professionalism, and genuine care for the people they work with.

Both owners have deep ties to Central Maryland, and they take pride in serving the communities they live in.

Erik leads the construction and project execution, ensuring quality workmanship and coordination across trades, while Gigi helps guide the client experience, communication, and design consultation, supporting clients through the many decisions that come with remodeling.

Together, their goal is to make each project feel clear, collaborative, and thoughtfully managed from start to finish.
